Rock and Roll, old and new

Arthur Resnick started his songwriting career in the Brill Building in the Sixties alongside other young writers like Gerry Goffin and Carole King, Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil, Jeff Barry and Ellie Greenwich, Rudy Clark ,and Kenny Young. Among his hits were Under the Boardwalk, Yummy, Yummy, Yummy and Good Lovin' (included on this album). Also on this album is I've Got Sand In My Shoes (the followup to Under the Boardwalk recorded by The Drifters). The rest of the songs have been written by Artie with several friends, one of whom is the artist on this album, Dale Powers. Artie presently resides in Northern California with his dogs and his wife.

Dale Powers, at 18, began playing the piano on the road and working with bands including Etta James, Bennie Maupin, the Jacksons and other jazz artists. until 1996, when Dale left the road and and formed his own group Jump 'n Jive. He has been performing with the Dale Powers Band four nights a week at the Council Oak Lounge at the Seminole Hard Rock Cafe in Hollywood, F.L.A., since 2004.

David Snider -- all round musiician, noted guitarist, arranger, engineer -- has worked together with Artie for many years both as writers and producers.
